Existing boilers at Teesside Magistrates Court in Middlesbrough were old and had become unreliable with continual reported faults and hence were de-commissioned and removed from site. Antac replaced the three boilers with new Ideal 760KW boilers and hi/low gas burners, each unit weighing over a tonne which required special lifting equipment and MEWPs to remove and install the new ones. Full replacement of the main shunt pumps and water heaters were needed as part of an end of life cycle project where the challenge was to ensure the courts had continued supply of heating and water. Each boiler was removed and commissioned before the next boiler could be de-commissioned and removed from site. The whole project value was £140K and completed in only a 6 week period where G4S were delighted with the final results and efficiencies achieved by the Antac team.
