Antac recently completed the repair of a damaged floor area (320m²) within the canteen area at one of British Telecom’s offices in Doncaster. A small MEWP had been traveling through when it fell through the raised access floor resulting in a call from the local facilities manager. Replacement of the steel understructure with bracing stringers had to be installed along with high-density particle board and new plywood to the area before fitting new vinyl flooring. The project was a challenging one since it had to be conducted at night, doing sections at a time, ensuring the canteen was operational and fit for purpose during the day for all BT staff over a six week period. BT were delighted with the quality of work and final repair at a cost of £30K.
